HOW TO SCHEDULE

                                                                          UPDATED 12/19/17

                                                               BOOKING NOW FOR   2018 SEASON!!!

First, I would like to thank you for considering me to install your new pool or liner. I have been doing this since 1999 and have installed well over 2500 pools and liners. No matter what your backyard looks like, or type or size of pool, chances are we have done dozens just like it. We begin each season whenever the weather allows and continue until the last pool is closed, usually by late October. 80% of the work we do is between mid April and Mid July. The weather plays a HUGE roll in this business. Most people want theirs pools up and running by Memorial Day, and certainly by July 4th, even though there is plenty of warm weather in July, Aug, and into Sept. Rain is the main reason for delays in installation, followed by low temperature and high winds. If you plan to have your pool up and running by Memorial day or July 4th, BOOK NOW!!! Whether with us or another installer, BOOK NOW!!

Fact: In June 2009 it rained  in MA/RI area 26 out of 30 days!!!!

I understand that many people want or expect the contractor to come out and survey the site, see the "lay of the land", etc,  and make suggestions as to their new pool project. If you would like me to do that, please do so ASAP as I get booked early. This can be done OCT- MARCH for FREE as long as area is not snow covered.
Most installation jobs we do are done completely in 2-6 hrs depending on pool size, shape, design, and excavation of site. We try to schedule jobs that are located near each other on the same day to reduce our expenses and keep our prices competive.

LINER REPLACEMENT CUSTOMERS: PLEASE HAVE YOUR POOL 100% EMPTY AND HAVE THE NEW LINER AND NEW SKIMMER OUTSIDE NEAR THE POOL. AN ELECTRICAL SOURCE AND A WATER SOURCE WITH ENOUGH OF YOUR GARDEN HOSE TO REACH THE POOL.  A LINER REPLACEMENT SHOULD TAKE 2-3 HRS AND WE OFTEN DO THEM AT THE END OF THE DAY, ON THE WAY HOME, OR ON SUNDAYS. MINIMUM DAYTIME HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 55 DEGREES NEEDED TO BE AS WRINKLE-FREE AS POSSIBLE. ALSO, IF YOUR SKIMMER/RETURN ASSEMBLY IS MORE THAN 3-4 YRS OLD, WE RECOMMEND REPLACING THAT AS WELL AT THE SAME TIME. AFTER YEARS OF EXPOSURE TO CHEMICALS AND SUNSHINE, THE PLASTIC PARTS BECOME VERY BRITTLE, AND AS A RESULT, MAY CRACK WHEN REINSTALLED, CAUSING A LEAK THAT MAY LEAD TO FUTURE PROBLEMS.
If we come to your house to do your liner replacement, because you told us that you are ready and for whatever reason you are not ready (pool not empty, liner not accessible, wrong size/type of liner), there may be a fee for that.

FOR NEW POOL INSTALLS:
FIND OUT WHAT THE GUIDELINES ARE FOR YOUR TOWN AS FAR AS DISTANCES FROM DWELLINGS, PROPERTY LINES, FENCES, ETC. TAKE SOME MEASUREMENTS WITH A TAPE MEASURE AND DECIDE WHERE TO PUT THE POOL. MOST PEOPLE WANT IT IN THE SUNNIEST PART OF THE YARD AS FAR AWAY FROM TREES AS POSSIBLE. YOU KNOW YOUR PROPERTY BETTER THAN ME. ALSO CONSIDER DRAINAGE (OR LACK OF) YOU DON`T WANT TO PUT THE POOL WHERE IT IS ALWAYS WET AND MUDDY UNLESS YOU DON`T MIND PAYING FOR THE NECCESSARY EXCAVATION AND FILL.

NEVER ASSUME THAT YOU DON`T NEED A PERMIT. SOME TOWNS ARE VERY EASY TO GET A PERMIT SOME ARE NOT. THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT AND I DON`T KNOW THE SPECIFIC CODES FOR ALL 351 TOWNS IN MA OR THE 55 IN RI. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. MANY CITIES AND TOWNS HAVE WEBSITES WITH THAT INFORMATION AVAILABLE ONLINE. Since 2008 in MA there is no such thing as "being grandfathered"  All towns want you to get a permit.

MANY PEOPLE WANT TO BE HOME DURING THE INSTALLATION. THAT IS FINE BUT ABSOLUTELY NOT NECCESSARY. IF YOU DO YOUR PART AND HAVE EVERYTHING MARKED OUT AND ACCESSIBLE YOU NEED NOT BE THERE. I`M SORRY IF YOU SCHEDULED TO TAKE THE DAY OFF AND BECAUSE OF RAIN, YOU WERE RESCHEDULED.

MANY PEOPLE MAKE GREAT EFFORTS TO PUT THEIR NEW POOL INSIDE AFTER DELIVERY BEFORE I GET THERE TO INSTALL IT. THIS IS NOT NECESSARY. YOUR POOL STAYS OUTSIDE 24/7 YEAR ROUND. THERE IS SOME PAPERWORK THAT YOU WILL NEED FROM SEVERAL OF THE BOXES SO A TARP OVER THEM IS FINE.

Once you send in the appropriate contract and deposit, call and let me know:

Pool installs- Pool has been delivered and is accessible to me (not locked in garage).
permit is in order if applicable.
I have access into backyard (bobcat 6ft wide) We do not remove fencing or gates.
site is clearly marked. Round pools-Center of pool, pump/filter location, and where to put pile of debris (grass, rocks, roots, etc)    Oval pools- mark 4 "corners", one of these "corners" is where pump/filter will go for optimum circulation. And where to put debris.

Liner replacements-let me know when pool is bone dry empty. I know it can be difficult to get last few inches out of pool. Once you have pumped it down to 6" or less and can`t seem to get anymore out, simply puncture liner in several places. Remaining water will soak into ground beneath pool over the next several days. If we get rain, it will soak into ground beneath pool. If there is water in pool when we arrive, we will not be able to do the job unless you don`t mind paying for the time it takes the crew to empty pool. $100-150/hr
